Carmela's is seeking an experience (bi-lingual in Portuguese if possible), hands on Kitchen Manager to oversee our daily culinary operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader capable of maintaining high food quality, managing inventory, and motivating a dedicated kitchen team in a fast paced, hig-volume environment. They will work closely with a strong FOH Management team and work together to meet bonus goals.

Inventory, Scheduling, Ordering, as well as keeping an organized and well run kitchen. NO clipboard Management needed, we need you be able jump on the line at anytime, part of a TEAM. The right candidate must:
- Operational Leadership: direct all kitchen operations, including food preparation, menu execution and quality control.
- Team Management: Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and lead a diverse team of cooks, prep and dish staff.
- Inventory & Cost: Manage food orders with suppliers, control food costs and maintain proper inventory levels. WE HAVE THE TOOLS you need, with R365, inventory and managing invoices is done fast and you'll know weekly how you are doing. We have an Accounting Team that lends support as needed as well as a COO who there whenever you need support.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all health, safety and sanitation regulations are followed. We will supply Allergens and Food Manager if yours have expired. We will set you up for success.
- Equipment maintenance: Monitor Kitchen equipment and coordinate necessary repairs with General Manager. We are so well know in our community, we can have someone there in minutes!!
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in a similar kitchen management role
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and mentor team members
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, inventory software, and food safety standards
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Ability and CREATIVITY/PASSION to create weekly and seasonal specials. Have fun bringing a piece of yourself to the menu! ONLY THOSE CANDIDATES MEETING THOSE NEEDS SHOULD APPLY.
